Description: A bilingual, accessible event website for an African forum on safeguarding in higher education, which became a free resource hub after the event.
About
Safe on Campus: The African Forum on Safeguarding in Higher Education was an online, free event held in English and French. Its website had to work for very different people, from students to university leaders and policymakers. It needed to share the programme and speakers, take registrations, and stay useful after the event.

What we did
We designed and built the full website on WordPress: the home page, programme, registration and resources, in English and French, for desktop and mobile.
Our approach
We made both languages equal. A language switch sits in the header, so visitors can move between English and French on any page.
We kept the key details always in view. The dates and the event format sit at the top of the pages, so visitors always know what the forum is and when it happens.
We brought the brand into the interface. The pattern bands run between sections, and each session on the programme page carries one of the forum’s symbols.
We built accessibility in from the start: clean, semantic HTML, alt text that describes each image, and WCAG-aware design.
After the forum, the site became a free resource hub with session recordings, guides and research.
